Inspiration

So in one of my rare moments of un-groupie-like clarity, I realized that if the world weren't so screwed up, musicians wouldn't have so much to write about. All kinds of misery - the blues, anti-war music from the 60's, teenage angst, heartbreak - if life were great, would music be the same powerful communication tool it is today? Would teenagers relate to bands like Pantera, The Sex Pistols, and Slipknot if there wasn't so much to be angry about? Strange how so much pain can create something so beautiful.

To Answer the Burning Question...

I didn't even need to take the quiz - sheesh.

You Should Drive a Saturn Sky

You're sleek and smooth, and you need a car to match your hot persona.
Besides, sometimes you want your top up - and sometimes you want it down.

Music vs. The Day Job

I understand why folks would rather play music then deal with the 9 to5. Nothing like being able to tell that jerk off in the front row to go take a hike and not get fired for it. Drink yourself stoopid, smoke blunts out back, sleep with whoever you want. Sure beats listening to the man tell you how to behave and working your way through the office politics. Doesn't pay as well all the time, but today, the trade off would be totally worth it.

Band Behavior

How come band members can stand up other band members (or entire bands in some cases -doh!) and they all still treat each other like nothing ever happened? It's this weird community that those of us who aren't musicians will never get, not matter how long we've been around or how much we know. Maybe the music world is really bizarro world, and they just disguised it better by giving it a normal sounding name. :P

Big Changes

So, just in case you didn't notice, the blog has been missing content (like what, three months worth? Maybe I should hire someone else to do this job. :)). Believe me it's not from lack of material - it's all about the time to post it. The studio has moved and we are still trying to get that part situated; who knew there were so many decisions to make about a one room building? When it is time to have the grand opening party I know everyone out there will be as impressed as I am with the space and the location. The creative genius is already planning concerts on the back forty, so hold on, we're in for a wild ride!! :))
